Proto Previewer

Free, fast mesh viewer and screenshot tool that runs in your browser. Drop in a model, swap textures channel by channel, inspect the material the way an engine sees it, and shoot a framed still at up to 1920×1080 with a transparent background.

It was built to preview DriveState's cars and their texture sets, which is where the name comes from — but nothing about it is car-specific. Any mesh works.

Nothing is uploaded. Every file you drop stays in the browser: loading, conversion, and rendering all happen on your machine, and your model and textures are kept in local storage so they survive a reload.

What you get

• Drop in almost anything. .glb straight through, .obj and .fbx converted on import with material slots, names, and UVs intact — details.
• Sixteen inspector modes. Final and raw render, ten material channels isolated, plus matcap, wireframe, and a UV checker — see Render modes.
• Model and UVs side by side. Hover an island in the texture view and a marker lands on the matching point of the mesh — split view.
• Per-material texture overrides. Load your own map into any of ten channels, dial its strength, and flip a normal map's green channel between the OpenGL and DirectX conventions.
• Textures that sort themselves. Drop a folder of maps and they land on the right materials by filename — T_Body_BC finds M_Body, whatever your export naming looks like.
• A real camera tool. FOV, aspect presets, composition guides, saved camera poses, and transparent-background PNGs — details.
• Lightweight. No install, no account, no upload step. Open it and work.
